Collected Stories (2015)

Pleasant surprise!

 

To the editor:

 

My friends and I had the pleasure of seeing a play at the Jewish Theatre of Bloomington. 

When I first walked in, I noticed the stage was set as a small apartment from years' past.  

Much attention had been paid to every detail to form a picture in my mind of the person who lived there.   

 

As this was my first visit,

I was not

sure what I expected, but I was

pleasantly surprised that

"Collected Stories" was 

performed so well.  

I forgot that I was in the audience

as I was drawn into each scene. 

The actors made the audience see

life through their eyes, at least I

felt this way.   From the stage,

scene changes, lighting and all

effects, it was amazing at the way it all came together.  

 

After the play, the audience had the pleasure of meeting the actor and the director.

If you have not visited this theatre for one of the many productions offered, I would encourage you to do so. Located at the John Waldron Arts Center, tickets are available at the door or at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.

This is one of the many "jewels" that Bloomington has to offer.  - Mary Hunter
