The JTB Publicity Committee is looking to fill one or two openings with I.U. students! Here’s an easy and fun resume builder, volunteer opportunity – especially if you are an I.U. Media School, SPEA or Theatre & Drama major! Jewish Theatre of Bloomington (JTB) https://www.jewishtheatrebloomington.com/ is a 501c3 theatre company, deeply committed to both Jewish culture and the theatre. The genre of Jewish theatre is a vibrant performing arts experience with a rich and longstanding international history. The upcoming JTB 2025 season will be their 20th anniversary! JTB produces works that arise from or reflect the Jewish experience but also focus on universal issues of the human condition that are accessible to a diverse audience. This year, JTB Board of Directors has several working committees, which can be filled with board and non-board volunteers. The JTB Publicity Committee is looking to fill one or two openings with I.U. students this Fall: •These students would help JTB be active in social media, mailings regularly but most importantly, when publicizing upcoming productions or events (Including, but not limited to, Instagram and Facebook) •The goal is to help us build JTB audiences, interest, and connections as well as garner a higher level of social media traffic within the vibrant local theatre scene. •Volunteer commitment is extremely flexible, minimal hours and remote. It will require regular meetings with the JTB Producing Artistic Director for support, guidance. The Jewish Theatre of Bloomington is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant is supervised by the Producing Artistic Director and has the following duties: Coordinate all printing needs (for audition notices, fundraisers, special events, and shows)  Copy all production materials:  scripts, playbills, postcards, posters, invitations. Take care of all mailings: purchase stamps, stuff and address envelopes Assist Managing Director with maintaining mailing list  Assist in the distribution of posters and yard signs  Design fund raiser and reception invitations, and other documents as needed. Find volunteer ushers for each production and supervise them at each performance. Assist house manager when needed. Assist at box office when needed. Assist at fund raising events.  Assist Managing Director with maintaining donor list. Mail tax forms to non-Equity actors, and production staff.

Volunteering

The JTB is looking for volunteers to assist them with different office and production aspects such as: Technical, Costumes, Props, Auditions, Ushering, as well as serving on our Board of Directors. If you are above 16, available for the entire season, and are interested, we'd love to work with you!
